Tayport’s Blackcurrant Liqueur Featured on James Martin’s Saturday Morning
)
This opportunity began with a meeting between Tayport founder Kecia McDougall and James Martin at the Taste of Grampian, where the product made a strong impression. Months later, it was selected to appear on the show, offering Tayport the chance to share its Scottish-crafted spirit with a wider audience.
The liqueur is made using locally grown blackcurrants from Fife and reflects our commitment to quality, provenance, and flavour worth sharing.
This opportunity followed a meaningful encounter between our founder, Kecia McDougall, and James Martin at Taste of Grampian, where our handcrafted liqueurs left a lasting impression. Months later, the team at James Martin’s Saturday Morning reached out — and this weekend, millions saw our product in action.
Guest chef Lesley Waters and James Martin both highlighted the liqueur’s rich, balanced flavour as a perfect complement to the dessert. It's a proud moment for the Tayport team and a validation of our approach: using real Scottish fruit from local farms, hand-pressed and bottled with integrity.
Our Blackcurrant Liqueur delivers a deep fruit character, subtle floral undertones, and a velvety texture — qualities that chefs and customers alike continue to appreciate.
As always, we’re grateful for the support of our customers and community, and look forward to seeing more Tayport spirits inspire culinary creations across the UK
